Getting started
Your next step can be a conversation.
You do not need to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out.
From your first request to a care plan.
-
Request an appointment
Use our appointment portal to make a request. A request does not confirm a visit.
-
Confirm the details
Talk with the office about your location, age eligibility, fees, insurance, and appointment arrangements.
-
Meet with Eduward
Share your concerns, health history, and goals during an online psychiatric evaluation.
-
Decide on next steps together
Discuss an individualized care plan and the follow-up that makes sense for you.
Before your first visit.
- Confirm that you will be in New York, New Mexico, or Florida during your appointment.
- Confirm age eligibility, fees, insurance participation, and the appointment time and time zone.
- Complete any requested intake documents through the patient portal.
- Gather relevant treatment records and medication information for the portal or your visit.
- Choose a private space and test your camera, microphone, and internet connection.
Still have questions?
What happens at the first appointment?
Eduward will ask about what brings you to care, your health and treatment history, daily life, and goals. You can ask questions, discuss options, and agree on next steps. Share relevant records through the patient portal when requested.
How do online appointments work?
You meet by video from a private space using an internet-connected device with a camera and microphone. The office will provide connection instructions. Test your setup before the visit and ask the office what to do if your connection drops.
Where must I be located during my visit?
You must be physically located in a state where Eduward is authorized to practice at the time of your appointment. Radiant Minds offers telehealth in New York, New Mexico, and Florida. Tell the office if you will be traveling; care may need to be rescheduled.
Do I need an existing diagnosis?
No. You can request an evaluation to discuss concerns even if you do not have a diagnosis or are unsure how to describe what is happening.
Does an evaluation always lead to medication?
No. An evaluation is a conversation about your needs and options. Medication may or may not be appropriate. An appointment does not guarantee a diagnosis or a prescription.
How do follow-ups work?
Follow-ups are a chance to discuss changes, questions, side effects if you take medication, and how your plan fits your daily life. Eduward will discuss a follow-up schedule with you.
How can I confirm insurance or fees?
Self-pay appointments are $249 for an initial psychiatric evaluation and $149 for a follow-up. These rates apply when paying directly rather than billing insurance. Contact our office to confirm insurance participation. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on your specific plan. Ask about your state, network status, deductible, copay, and telehealth benefits before care.
How do I contact the office?
Call (646) 389-3301 or email info@radiantmindscare.com for general questions. Please do not email medical histories or medication lists. Use the patient portal for care-related communication. This office is not an emergency service.
ADHD assessment, testing, and treatment.
A clinical assessment brings together your concerns, health history, and day-to-day experiences. QbCheck is a separate assessment used alongside that conversation. Treatment recommendations depend on the whole evaluation; neither an appointment nor testing guarantees medication.
ADHD evaluation: our practice policy
As part of the ADHD diagnostic evaluation at Radiant Minds Psychiatry, patients are required to complete a QbCheck assessment. The assessment has a separate $250 fee, which is not covered by insurance.
QbCheck results are considered alongside your clinical evaluation and health history. The test alone does not establish an ADHD diagnosis.
This is this practice’s requirement for an ADHD diagnostic evaluation, not a requirement for every psychiatric appointment or every ADHD evaluation elsewhere. The testing fee is additional to appointment fees. If you use insurance for your appointment, your appointment cost depends on your coverage; the self-pay rate does not automatically apply.
Questions about ADHD testing.
Is QbCheck required at this practice for an ADHD diagnostic evaluation?
Yes. Radiant Minds Psychiatry requires QbCheck as part of its ADHD diagnostic evaluation. This is our practice policy; it does not mean every patient receiving psychiatric care needs QbCheck.
What does QbCheck cost?
The QbCheck assessment has a separate $250 fee. Under this practice’s policy, insurance does not cover that testing fee.
Is the testing fee included in the appointment price?
No. The $250 QbCheck fee is additional to appointment fees. Self-pay appointments are $249 for an initial psychiatric evaluation and $149 for a follow-up. If you use insurance for appointments, your appointment costs depend on your coverage.
Does completing QbCheck guarantee an ADHD diagnosis or prescription?
No. Results are considered alongside your clinical evaluation and health history. Completing or paying for the assessment does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis, medication, or a stimulant prescription.
